During the summer of 2025, I had the amazing opportunity to intern with Agtegra Cooperative in Aberdeen, South Dakota, from May until early August. Agtegra is a leading agricultural cooperative that supports local farmers and ranchers with a wide range of services and resources. During my internship, I was immersed in the world of marketing and communications, collaborating with a fantastic team and contributing to several exciting projects throughout the summer.
Projects:
Photography and Videography Experiences
Throughout my internship, I had the fantastic opportunity to capture numerous moments through photography and videography. Meeting the growers was definitely one of the highlights, giving me a unique glimpse into their world. I also had the chance to sit in on board meetings and safety trainings, in addition to visiting grain terminals, all of which added to the full experience that the marketing department has to cover at Agtegra. I documented various aspects of the internship program, ensuring every moment was captured with quality and with Agtegra's Branding in mind.
Digital Display Board Research Project
One of the major long-term projects a partner and I tackled throughout the summer was evaluating the potential purchase of a digital display board for Agtegra. This long-term project involved detailed research and strategic planning. I had the chance to meet one-on-one with various partners to explore sponsorship opportunities and address any risks and drawbacks. We also worked on calculating the return on investment, creating mockups of potential ads, and considering how this display board could ultimately generate profit for the company. Finally, presenting this project to the leadership team and taking first place in the internship with our presentation and handouts.
Intern Spotlights for Social Media
I also worked on creating intern spotlights for Agtegra’s social media channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. The format for Instagram looks to be less detailed. These spotlights highlighted each intern’s personal goals or hopes for the internship, what excited them most about working with Agtegra. It was a rewarding way to showcase the team and give a behind-the-scenes look at the internship program. I was also in charge of handling any photos or videos for all of the amazing intern activities and days that Agtegra had set up throughout the internship.
The spotlights performed incredibly well across platforms:

Facebook: 5.2K reach, 41 likes
LinkedIn: 2,101 impressions, 3,093 clicks

Holiday Website Banners
In addition to social media work, I designed website banners for holidays, such as the Fourth of July, to notify visitors that the main offices were closed. These banners kept the website up to date and ensured clear communication with members and customers during holidays. Designing the banners to be able to fit across all devices, from computers, tablets, phones, and TVs.
Maintenance Request Flyers
Another project I worked on was designing a flyer for maintenance requests. These flyers are now displayed throughout the administrative office to make it easier for employees to report maintenance issues. This simple addition has helped improve the flow of operations and ensure that workplace maintenance needs are addressed more efficiently.

2026 Calendar Design
I also designed Agtegra’s 2026 calendar, which has now been printed and distributed to employees, growers, and partners. This project was a great opportunity to combine design skills with Agtegra’s brand and create something useful that will be seen throughout the coming year.
Summer Soil Sampling Campaign
One of my favorite communications projects was creating a flyer to promote summer soil sampling. Along with the flyer, I developed matching content for social media stories, an email blast, and text notifications. This multi-channel approach helped make sure growers across the cooperative were aware of the program and had easy access to the information.

Comprehensive Internal Presentation
Another long-term project I worked on was creating an internal comprehensive guide to Agtegra Cooperative. This guide explains what the company is, the different divisions it has, and how all of those parts work together. It serves as a resource for employees to better understand the scope of the cooperative and the services it provides.
Monthly Internal Newsletters
I was also responsible for creating the monthly internal newsletters for the months of July and August. These newsletters highlighted key updates, upcoming events, safety reminders, and stories from across the cooperative, helping keep employees informed and connected.
SDSU Football Sponsorship Graphic
I designed a 160x600 pixel display ad for Agtegra's sponsorship of SDSU football. The vertical graphic was tailored for in-game visibility, aligning with Agtegra’s brand identity while promoting its support of local athletics. Clean, bold, and impactful—perfect for stadium and digital display.

Agtegra Appreciation Night:
One of the most memorable experiences from my summer with Agtegra was being part of their annual Appreciation Night—an invite-only event that brings together roughly 5,000 people, including employees, growers, VIPs, business partners, and others connected to the cooperative.
While I didn’t lead the planning, I had the valuable opportunity to observe how such a large-scale event comes together behind the scenes. Throughout the day, I helped where needed and focused on capturing the atmosphere through photos and video.
I also had the chance to film and photograph both the VIP golf tournament and the VIP night, which added to the overall experience. It was an incredible opportunity to contribute creatively and witness the impact of the event firsthand.
